- LETTER OF APPRECIATION 15/09/05  -

Dear Mary

Just a short note to say hello and to express my appreciation for your endeavours to influence open mindedness amongst some of our stagnant politicians. Obviously politicians on both sides of politics are shamefully ignoring reality and unconstitutionally disrespecting the majority wishes of their constituents.

Clearly it is with a sense of dislocated reality that these politicians are timidly avoiding the truth concerning the need for appropriate more liberal legislative change that respects peoples rights for automonous choice in merciful end of life decisions. With Australia being a secular society and in spite of majority support by their constituents, it is self evident that politicians fear being adversly judged by the vocal minority pious pressure groups such as the Right to Life and main stream religious organisations who in-turn are illogically retarding long overdue social reform.

On Monday night I visited your Web site for the first time about 8-30 P.M. and in becoming absorbed with the interesting reading I didn't log off until 10-45. Being likeminded and by-partisaned in a small way as compared to yourself and to give credit where its due you are certainly making a tremendous contribution to the cause.

It has been said that failure is where you dare not to act and certainly nobody can say that about you Mary, that's for sure. In fact after perusing your Web site I couldn't help but feel guilty at not having done more to assist with the advancement of the freedom for the dignified right to choose.

Also of relevance, it must be remembered how invariably it has often been small numbers of dedicated active people like yourself for instance, who have influenced events to the good of all mankind.

I was so impressed with your "Personal Views" Web page and in order to encourage some political circumspection, I emailed a copy to my area Labor Senator, Jan McLucas and requested she forward a copy of same on to the Opposition Shadow Attorney General.

To conclude, feel free to make my appreciation of your Web site and efforts known and please keep up the good work.

Supportively Yours

Ron
